The new modified versions of Pinguin tents are with improved construction and that makes them suitable even for particularly difficult weather conditions . They bet on some of the strongest and at the same time light DAC rails, made of duralumin alloy. The Arris Extreme DAC tent, for example, uses DAC Featherlite NSL (7001 T6) slats with a diameter of 9.5 mm.


DAC Featherlite NSL rails are characterized by high production accuracy, use of high quality 7001 T6 aluminum and ingeniously designed construction. To achieve optimal strength, each rail has two different diameters - narrows at the beginning and expands at the end. This ingenious solution by the engineers at the Korean company DAC saves a lot of the weight of the tent.

RipStop - This is a fabric manufacturing technology used in the tropics. Transversely and longitudinally interwoven at regular intervals threads forming a lattice make the fabric stronger and more durable, while also lighter. This technology is used in the tents of the Extreme series and tents of the Hiking series. The nylon with RipStop treatment and the three-sided treatment with silicone guarantee a water column with a height of 4000 mm.

Another inovation is the silicone treatment of Pinguin tents. In this technological process, the outer layer of the tent is impregnated with silicone, which makes the fabric extremely water-repellent with self-cleaning ability. In combination with a polyurethane (PU) coating on the inside of the fabric, the best protection against moisture penetration is achieved. Another important effect of silicone processing is a significant increase in strength, flexibility and tear resistance.
